The Air Ambulance Crash of 1966
On Sunday night, May 22, 1966, an air ambulance plane crashed in the mountains off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Piper Comanche was en route from Memphis, TN, to Marion, NC, tasked with picking up the body of a Memphis man, Alton Bernard Walker, who had died of a heart attack while visiting the mountains. The victims of the crash were identified as Jimmy D. Curtis and Noel A. Gaines. They were last heard from flying over Knoxville, TN.
Paper
Printed on Red River's UltraPro Luster 300 paper, this brilliant, bold white paper features a deep luster texture. These key elements are excellent at reproducing deep blacks and higher contrast. They also give images a wider color gamut and smoother tonal transitions. The luster finish texture will help reduce glare when framed and hung, and because the paper is a thicker stock, it will also help prevent wear.
