How I enjoy the journey of photography and the opportunity of being out in nature without putting pressure on myself to always produce a photo.
Too often, as landscape and nature photographers, we lose sight of the extraordinary opportunity to simply be outside, enjoying nature, and practicing an art form we love. With social media and the inundation of photography experts highlighting their best work, we can put pressure on ourselves to produce jaw-dropping images on every single outing. The truth is, nature photography does not work like that. Creativity does not work like that.
In this video, I talk about how expectations can stiffle creativity and experimentation, and how embracing random discoveries in nature photography often leads to our best work.
